Mass Management
Fleet or Owner operators participating in the Mass Management module can access additional mass concessions. These concessions allow them to operate at Concessional Mass Limits (CML) for general access to the road network and on Gazetted roads Higher Mass Limits (HML). Mass Management Accreditation encourages heavy vehicle operators to take more responsibility for loading their trucks correctly within the stipulated regulations.
Fatigue Management
Operators with BFM accreditation can operate under more flexible work and rest hours, allowing for (among other things) work of up to 14 hours in a 24-hour period. BFM gives operators some flexibility in when drivers can work and rest, as long as the risks of driver fatigue are properly managed.
Maintenance Management
Maintenance Management Accreditation encourages heavy vehicle operators to take more accountability for maintaining their vehicles regularly and ensuring their vehicles are in roadworthy condition and meet with road legislation. It helps you manage your business more efficiently, partly because you will have clear procedures for ensuring your vehicles are well maintained, and partly because there will be reduced down time associated with breakdowns and annual inspections. It also advocates to better and improved road safety.
